Yup, very ambitious.

But will you use the PC, X360 and PS3 at the same time, all stressed to 100%?

Because if you do, you're my idol biggrin.gif

I say get a 1KW PSU.

I say get a 1KW PSU.

i wanted to use a 1k psu but i'm also moving so cash is limited.
for now till i can upgrade the components i'll just run a 520w seasonic (comes on friday)
the xbox and ps3 will have to use their normal power supplies till i can get a beastly psu.

till i can get the liquid cooling for the ps3 and 360 they both can run 100% as well as the pc
once i go liquid cooling maybe only one or the other will run at the same time as the pc. unless i can afford enough rads.

This seems pretty cool, but why not wait for the next generation of consoles?

i'll do the same with the next gen also
this project isn't going to work though. i have the orignal ps3 and the measurments i took were of the slim.
so the ps3 doesn't fit unless i tilt it.. and i want them flat.
the xbox is the pro version and its motherboard is also a little too long for how i wanted to set it in there.

new plan is to make a 4 foot by 1.5 foot shadow box
my brother works at a metal shop so i'm having him check prices on a sheet of aluminum that size so i can make the mother board stand offs on it.
if its too much i'll just do everything out of wood.

i built something like this a while back just not quite as grand lol

instead of trying to wire all 3 to one psu reuse the power bricks from the ps3 and xbox and just combine the power cables after the bricks and psu it will save you some wiring. You can actually wire the monitor cable directly to the xbox 360 power brick once you disassemble it.

also how do you plan on switching video between systems? Will you be running any sort of extensions on pieces for the usb headers? are you going to have just one power button or 3 separate ones

one last thing, I hope you realize the shear amount of custom wiring and custom parts that will be involved in this build, if i remember correctly some of the connectors for the hdd and cd drive on the xbox are not standard cables and are extremely short and will need to be cut and lengthened

Not trying to deter you I really enjoyed building mine just dont want you to tear down over 1k of products and have a problem thumb.gif
