instead of trying to wire all 3 to one psu reuse the power bricks from the ps3 and xbox and just combine the power cables after the bricks and psu it will save you some wiring. You can actually wire the monitor cable directly to the xbox 360 power brick once you disassemble it.

also how do you plan on switching video between systems? Will you be running any sort of extensions on pieces for the usb headers? are you going to have just one power button or 3 separate ones

one last thing I hope you realize the shear amount of custom wiring and custom parts that will be involved in this build, if i remember correctly some of the connectors for the hdd and cd drive on the xbox are not standard cables and are extremely short and will need to be cut and lengthened

yeah i later choose to go with their stock psu..
i got sick of waiting to buy a hefty psu and just got a 520w seasonic for the pc.
(that reminds me i need to build a new sig rig for what i'm on now)

video switching will be easy, i have a hdmi switcher. all video from the consoles goes to an internal avermedia capture card. so all video ends up just being on two hdmi cables.
right now i have that setup going on my samsung led 32" tv. 1 hdmi from pc and 1 hdmi out from the avermedia card.

for usb, i'll just make some usb breakout boards, i already have a ton of usb connectors in both standard size and those smaller ones you would find in a cellphone or on the ps3 controller.
then i'll just solder to the other usb terminals on the board.. since i have the parts it would be cheaper to do that than buy a bunch of extension cables.

i'll use all three of the standard power buttons. however i may change the ps3 one. its touch activated so i could make something that looks better out of metal and attach it to the contact.

they those ribbons they use are just crazy small.. its not going to be that big of a deal.. i have wired smaller, just going to take a lot of time and my razor blade to splice the wires open.
i'm going to download google sketchup again and draw out what i have planned in my head.

so this is one of the designs i'm looking at building
the fon't where you see the motherboards will be a plexiglass window, rest of it will be made out of wood
around the plexiglass on the inside i was thinking of putting old ddr1 and 2 ram then dropping lights behind them to show off the guts.
like ram-stage-lights.

Hi,
I'm George and I'm sort of a geek, but a friendly one, and I'm really good with designs and ideas. I have just subbed and wanted to know if you could drop one of the Gaming Consoles and just go with the PC and Xbox or PC and PS3?

Good Luck
From George
