Quite a bit, actually

P820:
Hue Lighting Control
Digital Fan Controller
6 HDD bays, 2 removable
Larger footprint, sits higher for airflow to bottom mounted rads

P630:
No Hue Lighting
No 4-Channel Digital Fan controller
6 Modular and fully removable HDD bays along with 2 SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard tray
Smaller footprint, wider, longer, but shorter.

Hey XNine, is the gunmetal in the 630 line a "Special Edition" version that costs more, or is it a standard color like that Black or White version?

I love the gunmetal color. That is simply an awesome color scheme.

Looks like it also has enough room for most water cooling needs (a 360 and 240), granted you could only do an RX thickness radiator with "push" only, or maybe an RS thickness radiator in "push/pull" (or namely the NZXT water coolers), but still, that's plenty for 99% of the people out there.

I prefer the look of the Switch 810 and the ABS Canyon (and now the Corsair 900D) over all the angles and the split window. I'm not saying that the Phantom is junk or anything, it's just personal taste.

For me, right now, I like "clean looking", well built, awesome features for water cooling, well thought out cable management, access to only needed ports (USB and headset), LOTS OF ROOM, and right now, something other than "boring black".

Personally, I would love nothing better than to see NZXT come up with a Switch 820, which basically took a Switch 810, make it 6" taller, and put in cut outs for 2 480/420 radiators/fans down below. I'm sure the boys over at Corsair would say they were just ripping off the 900D, but then again, that wouldn't be the case (no pun intended), it would be more akin to just making into one product what I already have in my house (and many others do too) ... a Switch 810 case with a Dwood Switch pedestal. But that is a discussion for another thread.

i think that because of you and people with similar taste the 810 was made. Simple, efficient, elegant and not too expensive. and for the ones that want a different, phantom, style they have a wide range of choices. personally, i like the phantom style, but also the 810 style and the Corsair C70 (which i currently own) style.
regarding to the pedestal, with one of these bad boys i can reach the same level of 810-ness water cooling capabilities with my C70 while keeping it's own style. (still planning my mod rolleyes.gif )

THIS IS OCN! I'm appalled by you guys, if the case is worth it you should just mod the damn side panel. Nearly everyone who bought the old Phantom modded the side panel and put in their own cool looking windows, and from what I can see that will be pretty easy with this case. The side panel can always be modded, I mean jeez. And knowing NZXT, just like the OG Phantom, they'll likely release a full window side panel, or the S810 side panel will fit on this Phantom. They're both full towers, so it isn't out of the question.

pretty much gold there. don't like it? no other case like it? Mod it ! also, it looks like the side mesh part can be easily removes without any complex mods (just a screwdriver and a window) though i might be wrong.

if you are already replying here, may i ask what is the consideration of making a meshed or full window side panel on a case? why the 810 had full window while the 820 and the new 630 have window and mesh? (would there be a separate full window?)

btw, how long till NZXT would make pedestals biggrin.gif

Standard. Most of our chassis, if not all, will be released in Matte Black, Gun Metal, and White going forward. I suppose if there are any special editions, you see variants like Black/Orange, Red/Black, etc.

All of a sudden I am a fan of NZXT....I had seen their stuff before, however just thought they were a cheap run of the mill company...

Wasnt until I bought a Source 210 mid-tower for my NAS server that I thought otherwise...Cheap 40 dollar case that is really build like an 80 dollar case IMO...

This thing here looks amazing...Kinda makes me want to sell my HAF case and grab one of these babys...Love the front fan look

Drop the side panel fan

In the phantom 820
Wish it had a window like the 810, and no side panel fan
Also can you remove the top hard drive cage?
Does the front fan have a filter?

makes me wonder if they're planning on making a kraken for 200mm/400mm

It's not an 810, it's a Phantom, therefore it carries the design asthetics of a Phantom.

You can remove all of the HDD cages in the P630 if you want. They're Modular.

Yep!
