i5 3570K@4.5Ghz - Corsair H100i 1.27V - OK? - Page 2

Although I am confused about why CPU-Z and Real Temp are reporting different multipliers.

Check out the Ivy Bridge Stable Club, click on the i5 3570K entries only link at the bottom of the spreadsheet and you will see the overclocking results from many different users. Temps, voltages, clocks and how many hours they tested stability for.

Upgrade to CPU-Z 1.62. Some older versions of CPU-Z would interfere with the high performance timers that RealTemp depends on. Here's the latest version of RealTemp too.

If RealTemp continues to show your multiplier dropping like that then you might have a full load throttling problem. That is usually power consumption related when that happens.

I previously had an i5 2500K running at 4.4Ghz with a different cooling system, I'm new to Ivy Bridge so am not totally sure if these results are OK for this CPU. The H100i is running in a PUSH/PULL config with 2 Corsair fans and 2 Antec fans. (tip: if you have the Antec 1200 be prepared to spend 2-3 hours persuading the H100i to fit into the case!)

Note: I have the LLC set on Level 2 - I have no idea how ASRock LLC's work (Level 1-5) but from what I remember that works best, any input on that would be appreciated).

How did you manage to get 4.5GHz with only 1.272? I can only get 4.2 at that voltage on mine. If i want 4.5 i have to go beyond 1.32xV. What are your bios settings?

Seems about right. I have the same chip, same clock and around same VCore (1.288). But my temps are a bit higher, so it seems like you got a good seating on your H100i. Keep it up and try to push for more thumb.gif
