Thanks! It has 11 tubes and dual rows of fins, 32 FPI.

The missing fitting arrived after several days at customs... thanks again Geno@Monsoon smile.gif

I've not had much time this week, but I have been playing around with acrylic tubes. Cut at 45 degree angle. Sand both joins perfectly flat. Superglue (which itself is liquid acrylic) to fix the parts together. Then I experimented with annealing the parts to strengthen the bond.

This first one, the oven was too hot.

Here is one cooked at 75C for two hours, switch oven off, but don't open the door for an hour. You can see some clouding where evaporation of the liquid part of the superglue has reacted...

... but I was able to scrape that off using a toothpick.

Looks nice, although I'm wondering how much turbulence that sharp turn will cause, could it affect the flow? Probably just being paranoid lol.

Oh this was just a test. I did a 45 degree cut because my saw-block has that. The actual tube will have approx 50 degree bend, so I'll have to carefully file 25 degree cut on two pieces until they will fit exactly with each other.

You can't see it, but the left hand piece of tube is 1mm closer than the right hand piece of tube. So it needs another piece in between to make a step between of 0.5mm.

All three pieces were sanded flat with P280, then P600. The acrylic dust will actually help strengthen the bond with the superglue.

I read that superglue neither sticks to Teflon, nor to graphite. So I used a baking sheet and a pencil to get the pieces together correctly. It's in the oven now for annealing.

I sanded the whole thing, also inside using pieces of sandpaper wrapped around a pencil.

I wet sanded until P600 but it was still cloudy (sorry no pic). Maybe with P800 I'd have got it clear and smooth.

So in my wisdom I used superglue as a lacquer haha. It's clear now, but the surface was ruined.

I could buy some P800 and smooth everything off and then maybe buff it with one of those cotton spinny things. I'll come back to it, but for the moment I'm bored of this smile.gif

Apart from the fact it's unbelievably ugly, the experiment has succeeded. The tube fits exactly where I want it, it's watertight and the annealing has made the joins strong enough for long-term use.
