Where the little connectors go, Rampage IV Extreme, N|ZT Phantom 410 Red

Hey smile.gif

Building my first rig, a complete noob and am just blaggin it hoping that I figure out where what goes.

Anyway I've put pretty much everything in place but the CPU that I've not bought yet.

Am wondering where all of these go, or shall I just trudge through the manual and find where each little bit goes? Off out now for mah bro's Birthday, cheers.

ASUS Rampage IV Extreme, NZXT Phantom 410 Red.

Taken on my Fujifilm Finepix XP130.

The plug that is on the left is a molex and should be plugged in the PSU, the other cables must be plugged on the bottom of the motherboard - anyway, if you just actually read the motherboard's manual:

^this guy pretty much showed you all you need to know.

I would strongly recommend you take that rig up off the carpet and put it on a desk or a table.

Also a rampage 4 on a first build? Good luck!

Don't Asus motherboards chine with that white adapter for the mb connectors? Makes it much easier/fool-proof.

Righto, nearly finished. Thanks for the responses!

One more quick question; will it be a bad idea to switch on the PC without the processor? I don't want anything to explode, destroy itself etc. bigeyedsmiley.png but I really want to see all the fans and stuff working!

No it won't hurt at all, but the screen will remain black and the motherboard will throw a nice error message. biggrin.gif
