[Concept]Ducati Build

Thread Starter
this is a concept for a build i would like to attempt for a good friend of mine. he's a total die hard ducati fan, he has 3 of them (76, 80-something and a 90 something). i've known this kid for years, and he's always doing cool stuff for me, my wife and my kids. right now he's rebuilding my kid's dirt bike engine for free. so i wanted to get him something cool, that he would like, and he doesn't have a computer. he doesn't know i'm attempting this, so there's no dead line for time or anything like that. in fact, i was going to just collect parts over the next year and put this together over time.

but here's my idea, er concept. ducati design their frames around the engine, so instead of placing the motherboard (engine) into a case (frame), i want to build a test bench-like frame, then invert the motherboard so the cpu cooler hangs out like a cylinder head. place the psu and drives at the bottom. some of the wiring can be run inside of the "frame", video card not needed, he would just use it for email, facebook, internet, porn, basic stuff. no gaming or anything. so i would go with an amd apu. covers can be cut acrylic, wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl, i have an antec p180 that i am planning on cutting the motherboard try out of, and i can mount the frame onto that.

right now, i'm just trying to plan a layout and get a design and get some ideas on the deign and materials to use. any help or input would be greatly appreciated! and i pre-appologize for my craptastic sketchup!

Just saw your thread and thought that looked like a real nice idea for this guy and a really cool concept. I did a little doodle and thought this would look pretty nice as well.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Adding a cheap GPU and a H50 mod to the GPU to imitate a front radiator could be a really cool idea.
