Look at the pictures they posted and you can see they are NOT V2 reservoirs.
The overclockers.uk one has a bow right where the V1's leaked and where the screw would have been located in the back of the V2 reservoir. It doesn't take but two working brain cells to understand that it can only be bowed up like that because there is no screw there.
Then, on the dazmode one you posted, in addition to it being bowed up where the screw in the V2 would have been located, the picture clearly shows there is no screw there but is instead in the middle of the res where it was in V1.
The good news is that all they need to do is contact XSPC to see about arranging a replacement for their leaking V1s.
What Garbage? They Sold Faulty Flawed Designs. The V1.
You have any idea the amount of PIA I had due to their design? The damaged components I had to replace due to a slowly leaking pool of liquid on my case? The Pump starting to grind and sound a bit odd due to constantly water leavel drops. My retailer went out of his own pocket to give me a new D5 pump when XSPC Refused to help in that matter as well.
Do you know the amount of PIA XSPC gave me when I wanted to RMA my unit? 2 Months Delay, I did it through my Retailer, and after all this only asked for the acrylic version, XSPC at first agreed and then refused making up excuses (oh we dont have the clear ones anymore) My retailer tried but they refused blatantly (DAZHONG XSPC Rep from Hongkong). What is this their fauty design causes damage to customers components, when the customer asks for a different version (Acrylic) even with some extra $$ on top, not only do XSPC refuse but delay the shipment for nearly 2 months!
Yes I acknowledge the those were the V1, I'm sure XSPC addressed the design flaw with the V2 which hopefully won't leak, but that doesn't mean I am taking risks with a "patched" version of this product which has made me go through so much trouble. After replacing my components I am just not taking a chance with this V2 fixed version, For every person like me who had to go through so many loops only to get a small product as this bayres replaced there are 10 more who dont even report it online. Even Dazmod have stopped selling the Black ones. So why take something known to be faulty and had to be patched its design flaw when I can clearly get the better options at the same price range as the Clear Acrylic welded version of this bay res or the Tank top version.
Black XSPC Res = Inferior, Has a history of leak problems.
Clear Acrylic XSPC Res = Superior, no such problems, ever.Edited by TheBirdman74 - 10/19/13 at 9:33am
