No, I never had a Dual Bay reservoir before, this Acrylic version is the only one I've had. No issues with it, fits the case fine and performs well, no leaks. tongue.gif

Well its good that you didn't have to go through any leaking. But I have to go through RMA but if my retailer could I would send in this one and get the Acrylic one by paying the difference. Or I might have it to buy it all together if that doesn't work out.

Meh after seeing the issues with their new 7970 waterblocks, and reading this thread. I dont think I'd bother with any more XSPC stuff in the future...

I have the same issue with the leak out of the top. Guess I'll try and RMA or just grab another bay res...

I just checked mine today after 3 months and it has a nice little bulge going on in the middle. I can see a tiny wee bit of red..... which as we know that's not a good sign. Sux because I really didn't want to take this thing apart such a PIA. I'm going to buy this one http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11219/ex-res-232/XSPC_Dual_525_Bay_Reservoir_-_Laing_D5_MCP655_w_Blue_LED_Light_-_Clear_Silver_Black.html?tl=g30c97s168 and give it a shot.

I'll have to put down paper towels and a small cloth. I'll be very upset if I kill my SSD along w/my other drives. Ridic.

Same here, 6 month old pump and reservoir. started losing water and now figured out it was leaking from the same spot. fast forward and taken out of the case and its leaking from the top as well. POOR POOR Quality Control, my DVD rom is most likely dead too mad.gif

will take weeks for the retailer to replace them. the pump is also making bad noises now. Should have gone with EK.

anybody have any suggestion what I should ask the shop to replace it with. another D5 pump and reservoir combo from xspc or should I tell them to give me an EK setup??

I just developed the xspc leak!! I have had this kit in for less than a month and my res started leaking last night and NCIX is useless for any return for water cooling they wanted me to tear the whole loop apart and send everything and then wait the week and a half for a replacement.

Side note: Has anyone had any experience with monsoon rma's? I have a leaking temp probe

Mine developed about a month in as well.

I'm finally getting around to setting my loop back up with the replacement I got about 3 months ago. I'll keep my post updated on the status of the replacement.

The replacement has less of a bow that is seen in this thread, and the design look slightly different.

It seems like the drip comes from the site of the pump but in most cases I'd bet it's actually coming from the lid at the known warping spot.
AFAIK there's no better res of the same style, although I'd be willing to try the clear acrylic one if XSPC would do the right thing and send me an exchange. I don't want to bug the vendor again it's not his fault this thing leaks and he already express mailed me a replacement / return box, it's not fair to him.

Try to seal the top seam with silicon. thumb.gif

See my above post. When asking for a replacement ask for the one I have (clear acrylic) this design is flawed.

You can try fixing it but it will just expand in other areas. This happens when the water starts to heat up.

Do yourself a favor and do not install this. You have been warned biggrin.gif
