I found out something interesting though, you will get an infinitely better OC out of just the core over memory. Try going stock speeds on memory and then go up to 1260 core. Test and if stable do 1290 core. Stable, then up the memory to 4900, 5000, etc. once unstable back off 10-20mhz.. You will be rock solid.. Ohh, and to reach the fabled 1.3v you have to raise volts to 1.25, then set power limit to 120%.. At full load you will hit 1.3v or so close to it. You may have a bad chip also though, as it kind of sounds like it is error checking itself out... GDDR5 doesn't crash like DDR3, as I am sure you are well aware.. For those that don't know it slows down due to error checking, or checksum, long before it crashes. A guy in London I know of has his set at 4900 on the memory and 1320 core and is faster than mine...
Nah, it isn't the memory temp problem. I placed memory sinks (and even VRM sinks) and it did nought. Nada, didn't do a thing. Still crashing at 1350 mem.
The reason i want the memory to be higher is for mining, there needs to be a "golden" ratio
And also neither can i do 1180 core, max voltage 1.225v (Power limit goes to 150%
This is the better card already .. RMA'd one other and got this one, turns out to only be slightly better but suffers worser memory speeds. I'm suspecting mem voltage is 1.5v
But yes my memory at the very least is at 5280MHz and that's the most stable i can get. Crashes takes some time though and i know that. Excessive attempts to ECC and then BSOD
