I don't see any reason to pay $142 for a 6800K. 5800K was $129 when it came out. Already sold my 5800K, though. Probably will end up buying a A8-5600K for $91 + a low profile 7750 for $85 after rebate.
I haven't played with it much yet. I don't have the same Trinity chip to compare it to. I have an A10-5700 which I love - cool, quiet, low-power usage. Biggest difference I see so far is that the minimum clock speed for "Cool n' Quiet" is 1900MHz as opposed to the 1400MHz for my a10-5700. It also handles 2133Mhz ram without overclocking.
Seems like Funtoo Linux likes it. Overall WEI in Win7 Pro (meaningless) is 6.9 (graphics). Proc is 7.3 IIRC.
Like I said, haven't played with it much yet. Need to hook it up to a Kill-a-watts unit. I suspect the idle usage is insanely low.
Stock cooler is the same as Trinity.
Unfortunately playtime has to wait. Got Saturday chores/errands to do.Edited by overkll - 6/1/13 at 9:58am
