unfortunately for him i have tomb raider, and have a screenie at 1080p, same bench. Trick is his graphic settings aren't displayed, but just looking at the difference in picture resolution you can see he's not playing at 1080p.
that said, i played a game with the settings too. you see I thought the picture quality in his photo was screwy... something was off for sure, at least it didn't look like my version of tomb raider. so i played a little with the graphic settings till i got close. Turns out if you turn off Tessellation and High Precision you get a picture that looks pretty much identical to his (also a bump in FPS). See my 7770ge benches about the same as every other 7770ge on tomb raider, ultra quality, 1080p. that is i average low 30's in fps. But by turning both those settings off i got a 10fps bump on the spot and a much more impressive screenie to show off around here.
Picture Taken with FRAPS (fps at time of photo shown in yellow top corner), 965be overclocked to 3.8ghz, 7770ge at stock. I backed the overclock off the gpu yesterday because of a tech issue i was trying to iron out (unrelated to the gpu), figured the issue out (it was a weird short/power fluctuation causing my gpu to not wake from sleep mode, or my h100 to turn off, THAT was alarming) when i found an unrelated fan's plug had been loosened on the motherboard. never would have guessed that would cause a gpu/h100 issue, but once the plug was fixed the problems vanished. till now i forgot to turn on afterburner, so the picture was taken with the gpu at stock settings.Edited by azanimefan - 7/24/13 at 1:10am
