What would you change? - Page 3

Your 900d is going to look so so so empty with an H100i lol. That case just screams water cool me when ever I look at it. If your set on stock everything H100i will be fine.

I would downgrade to a 3930 (If you care about money) and pick up an IPS monitor.

I would have to agree with a lot of the other folks on the H100i. The PSU is most definitely overkill for a single 690 and a CPU, even the one you are going for. On top of that, I don't see a point in dropping $350 on a case such as the 900D to never do anything more than a H100i? I mean, it is your money and whatever makes you happy is fine, just seems odd to me. To me it's like air cooling a CaseLabs case with no intention on ever water cooling. tongue.gif I also second going with a 3930.

If you are gaming, I would disagree with a IPS monitor personally as mentioned above. I have tired both IPS and LED 120Hz, and I must say the latter is way better in my humble opinion. But again, to each their own. Good luck either way, as it will be a nice build regardless of what you go with cooling wise. thumb.gif

I'm not sure if the OP is here to brag, wants advice or just wondering what YOU guy would change.

If he's:
Bragging: Cool story.
Wants Advice: Like other said, for the 900D, is for the enthusiast who wants to Water cool and even mod the case, not just to sit there, and since you want the looks, there is other case that look more better. The Level 10 for example.

Also, if you still want to get the 900D, Water cool the crap out of it instead of a H100i. Going to look EMPTY and will look like you don't know what you are doing.

I would switch the SSD for something else, 840 Pro, 830, Intel, etc. But its not bad, but there is a SSD that is better for the money also.

That is a regular LED monitor. So a TN panel as far as I can tell.

I picked all corsair stuff, because I though it looked cool. I was just wondering about the processor, ram, etc. I'm OCD so I sometimes have a hard time doing this kind of thing.

I actually second the SSD recommendation. It must have slipped through on me. I use the Samsung 840 Pro's (128GB x2 in Raid 0 and a 256GB). They are outstanding, even though they are a bit more expensive. I highly recommend them. thumb.gif

Thanks, I'm on Samsung's website right now.

No problem. Since you like things to look good, you will be happy to see that they will match the black build you have going so far. You could even find a Samsung 830 if you wanted one with a brushed aluminum look (although you don't usually see the SSD's that much anyways tongue.gif).
