New Board?

Thread Starter
I want to overclock my E6300, and was wondering wheather I should keep my current Gigabyte GA-965P-S3, which I hear is a reasonable overclocker, or if it would be better to buy a high end board like the Asus P5B Deluxe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

the Gigabyte is a decent overclocker indeed. I'd just try it out and see how far you get with it If you're not satisfied, you can always replace it.

As said that Motherboard is a good overclocker..Nice price also. Many people seem satisfied with it. As said see how far you can go with it..If you are not happy then look into getting a new one

Definitely keep that board. It's a great 'starter' board, I've got the higher version of it w/ the solid capacitors but I wish I had gotten the S3 rather, saved me some money w/ no performance difference.
