Best 27" for Photographer?

Any suggestions on the best 27" monitor would be for a photographer?

Leaning towards the Dell 27" but not 100% sold on it yet.

I saw the "ProArt" from Asus, those looks good and I'm sure they have it in the 27"

Edit: Nevermind, they don't have it in 27".

But you can't go wrong with the Dell monitors tho. And what is your budget?

But honestly for the money if you where just using for photos I would buy the U3011 at 1000$ then the U2713H at 999$

If thats the case I would go for the U3011 I've seen them at 1000$. More pixels would be nice for those really large images.

It's currently at $1399 I believe. I need to purchase by the end of the month. I think it was just on sale a while ago so I doubt it will be again soon.

Dell U2713H or NEC PA271W. Both are wide gamut monitors capable of hardware calibration. The Dell is newer and uses LED backlighting instead of the NEC's CCFL. The Dell has less of a grainy matte coating than the NEC if that concerns you.I bought the NEC from B&H photo (on sale for $900 and I love it) thumb.gif

Seen better looking monitors, but the specs don't seem bad. 1000:1 contrast ratio seems more realistic than the dynamic contrast ratios like 50M:1 or even 80M:1 on the new ASUS VX series.
I'm not a monitor expert.
