My apologies, it's a long discussion; I must have overlooked the prior tests.

Total pixel count is what counts most (though FOV has an impact too; I have a couple of games that are slightly slower at 1080p than 1200p, because the prior resolution has a wider FOV), but the scaling may well not be linear or reliably predictable between two very different pixel counts.

True, we were trying to compare two different resolutions and it just happened that they ended up bang on per pixel. But I get what you re saying about FOV possibly concentrating more detail/shading/ texture towards the center of the FOV. Although I just did some experiments with this and it appears that the number of pixels is what matters. Like this double , or half the pixels returned a bang on result.
My review will be based on identical resolutions however. This was mainly for the fun of it smile.gifthumb.gif

A couple of sites are now starting to carry this board and several people are quick to buy for their dual GPU set up. I'm talking they're just going from Sabertooth 990FX R2 to the Gen3 ones.

I even had to ask a lot of questions to understand it better and in my research found this thread I wasn't aware about.

Well played ASUS, well played. I hope y'all put the profits to good use in the RMA department or something.
