Everything will restrict the 8800's the c2d's less then what you have now though. The quads even less so.

well that just puts more money in the budget i mean my mobo dosent work with c2 so that would mean a hole diffrent mobo and cpu and my 2nd gig of ram is on its way ...wait todays tusday should be here lol im at school so gotta wait what would be a good mobo and cpu for the gtx or gts

Then wait save and get a new rig. No sense getting something that isn't gonna run right on your computer. So save your money, and buy a whole new rig in a couple months or so. Your current comp isn't lacking thats for sure.

lol i think ur almost in my shoes knowing u run a good cpu knowing its AMD lol no offence and ur running a lil bro version of my 7950 gt so i mean we both know a gts or gtx would be a boost but i mean if it will beat my 7950 gt and keep my happy while i save up for my new rig and still keeping the 8800 and then sli it later wouldebt be that bad

Well im getting a whole new build The specs are in my sig,

but yea, you could just get it now and then SLI later. But I think you should wait the prices are sure to drop a lot. And you could get it even cheaper then now.

how much is ur budget cause i just dropped a 8psi turbo kit ina buddys car and when he gets the money im 4 sure going for a c2 and 8 serious card but lol honestly i wanna get my card first and give it a world on my current rig so i can know the performance boost i can expect when i switch cpu and mobo lol cause my current mobo is crossfire ready not sli so i sure as hell need to upgrade

Im upgrading for about $1400 ish, maybe more maybe less im not totally sure of the final cost yet.

I think you are better off wait IMO. I mean ifs you gonna be going C2D then get the GTX by all means. But im just saying the prices are gonna drop, and you can get more bang for your buck. my

And the performance boost is gonna be different by alot between the 2 rigs.
