I don't mean to budge in an all-AMD section of the forums with an Intel recommendation but why not just get a first-generation Intel Core i5 750 and couple it with a LGA 1156 (P55 or H55) motherboard, it will cost you lessor a bit more than it will for an FX 6300 with used i5 750s going for around $70 to $80 range and motherboards at $50-$60 range

I know they are used prices, just a recommendation

Well worth it to be honest, it will be on par and sometimes faster with the highest end FX processor out right now in gaming (IN GAMING!)

The only time I've ever really decided to go the AMD route was when going toward a Phenom II kind of set up, those were beast setups then and still are now. Phenom II setups with the used CPU and a $50 motherboard will cost about the same as an FX 6300 alone as well.

Because AM3+ is not a dead socket. There is at least one more cpu gen that will go in an AM3+ socket.

He seen a bench test the involves Math Co Processor and he thinks it has something about the main cores processing information or data.

EDIT
So the Phenom II can do math twice as fast has a FX chip. applaud.gif

PD FX chips are without a shadow of a doubt better in gaming versus Phenom II at stock and overclock. This myth needs to die
