the FX series are much, much, much better at overclocking than the phenom series, and as for gaming performance they perform about the same, but leaning more towards the FX series thumb.gif

Fx is clocking higher lachen.gif .You never overclocked c3 produced in 2010.

Now have the decency to tell me those runs were stable AND done in a 20ºC ambient temperature with a regular air cooling or water cooling setup.

Because by your logic, look at this. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2084487

My 1055T is reaching Piledriver speeds!!!

Oh wait, that was with a slush bucket full of ice, in a suicidal CPU-Z validation.

My cpu was running stable at 4.4ghz but it was on only 1.5 vcore. Also this was on 18C ambient.

http://cdn.overclock.net/c/c4/c4ff1386_wPrime1024m253.874.jpeg

I think wprime 1024 is enough stress testing tool as phenom's are showing instability just in few minutes (they just don't need 24hrs runs to test stablity).
Phenom ii at 1.6V vcore can be cooled by water (with ambient temp at 20C) without any problem.

I understand the difference with instruction sets and realize that they are not being utilized in most benches. My arguement is that FX's only saving grace is that it clocks higher. AMD chose quanitity over substance and rolled the dice with it. . Until benchmarks and programs utilize( if they ever do) the newer instruction sets, the results are what they are. To continue arguing based on unutilized instructions is invalid.

Apparently, AMD's quantity is significantly better than AMD's quality. So your entire argument is invalid.
