Deutsch is a smart advertising guy. Ask him about advertising.
When you ask and expert for advice outside of their area of expertise, it's not advice anymore, it's just an opinion.
Deutsch said "When you're 30, there should be something more on your mind than video games, that's it,"
True, but obvious. That doesn't mean you ONLY think about work, kids, wife, mortgage, flu vaccinations, paying for college, yardwork, the sticking garage door, is the washer going out?....retirement....you've got to have recreation or those things make you CRAZY.
You could say the same of golf, hunting, fishing, cars, working out or anything that's not so much productive but provide recreation. People without hobbies are usually not that happy. And I'd say more than 1 hobby, ideally.
I think my generation, maybe a bit before, are the first ones to have video games present pretty much our entire lives. It's like someone born in the early 50's and tv. At what age should you quit watching tv? Well, you never "should" quit, just do what you want.
