[Razer][Ouroboros][Synapse 2.0] Yeah another Synapse 2.0 Complain - Changing buttons

Hi

I would like to bring a question on this forum as I do not manage to get understand by Razer Support team and eventually someone here may here me.
I am left handed and I chose the Razer Ouroboros to use this mouse with my left hand.
I am used to swap buttons; left with right and vice versa.

I do this since years, recently again with my old Lachesis and it was working like a charm. I was installing the damn slow & buggy Razer drivers, changing buttons, uninstalling it and forget it forever.

Unfortunately for Ouroboros, I have more issues. First the connection. If I go to offline mode, the next time I reboot the computer, the software crash at launch. I need to block internet check from the soft with my firewall... Weird but not very important.
What annoys me is that the buttons can't be swap anymore without Synapse 2.0 running.
If I uninstall the soft, my buttons are back to default behaviour.
Worse : If I keep Synapse 2.0 on my computer, I have to wait for alllllllllllll the os to loadddddddd before finally getting my buttons behaving as expected. Meaning : till my windows 8 is 100% loaded; my clicks are reverted to default.

I tried to explain this to the support team; seeking for a solution to flash this manually in the mouse for good, in the firmware or whatever, with no luck (they asked me to delete the ProgramData\Razer\ folder, uninstall the soft, etc. it has no meaning)

So if by any chance someone knows what I can do. The mouse is really great, in hand it's a real pleasure; but I am disappointed with this left/right & Synapse 2.0 ****ty stuff

Thanks in advance
Cheers;

It makes sense that until the drivers have loaded with your presets that the clicks won't be registering correctly. Why not just wait the few seconds for the drivers to load and initialize? Also, once you have your mouse buttons set, you can tell Synapse 2.0 to not boot at start up. It'll still load the drivers, and your default settings, and doesn't need to run to do that.

Mouse clicks and macros are loaded from the software though so you can't just not run it. You're going to have to stick with the loading of the software on startup, or just set your computer to sleep every time if you don't want to wait.

Thanks both for the answer

@DaClownie : unfortunately its not working. If I prevent Synapse 2 from starting, buttons left & right never get swapped and remains at their default value

@end0rphine : ok ; that's what I feared. Sleep mode is not efficient as I have some network issues when coming back from sleep mode ; so i have to stick with the shutdown/restart features for now... and so I have to wait for Synapse to load completely.

That sux so much, especially for a mouse claimed as Ambidextrous but only with a software launched (Lachesis was a real Ambidextrous...)

Quite disappointed; hope a solution will exists at some points, it's so annoying... Is there a way at least on windows side to choose what program to start in first and put Synapse there ?

Thanks @ll

How about using the swap button function in the windows mouse driver?

Unfortunately, this trick is not working 100%. Example : some games does not take this windows input into considerations, keeping the buttons functions as they are. And in those games; some simply don't allow to change buttons affectations (rare cases; I agree; but it exists; like in walking dead) ; so unfortunately, over the years I tended to avoid this windows not 100% working option. frown.gif

I'll stick with Synapse 2.0 slow loading then :/ but kidna disappointed. No onboard memory for such a high priced mouse for Macros & stuff; i can understand, for button swapping, there's no real excuses...
