Theres around 65mm of space under that rack, with the filter system removed.
35mm radiator + 25mm fan = 60mm already. Its a TIGHT fit.

If I put the fans below the rad, the rads would be sitting 35mm high already, making it have a total height of 70mm, wouldnt fit under the rack.

And either way, I wouldnt be able to slide the radiator in without cutting the case in some way. Length wise the radiator covers almost the entire bottom of the case. Its friggin massive lol.

As for the discounts, NCIX had (and is once again having, I think) a friend referral promotion. Get a friend to sign up on the site (they dont even have to buy anything or give CC info) and you both get a $20 coupon.

Now, about the filter...

January 26th, 2013
DemciFlex Filter Arrives!

Specs:
510mm x 170mm w/ 15mm Gloss Black Magnetic Frame
$18.02 + $15.35 s/h

Apparently the company is located in South Africa, didn't know that, but didn't bother to check.

Its just that out of all the water cooled rigs, using an FT02 and the Magicool 4 x 180mm, I have never seen anyone needing to cut their case in order for it to fit. Did you have to special order the filter or is there somewhere I can purchase it directly?

Demciflex is in Cape Town South Africa. Just send them an e-mail and they'll tailor make a filter for you.

Great build I love the FT02. Great case to work with. Albeit the front 5.25 covers are hard to get straight. I didn't put a rad in mine but drilled two holes out the back for an out of case cooling solution.

You now need to sleeve your wires! wink.gif

Its because I think I'm the first person to attempt this in a FT02 without removing the HDD rack.
Most people who go with a triple 180mm radiator opt to remove the HDD rack completely. If that wasnt there, I could have tilted the radiator and put it in at an angle before sitting it on the bottom of the case.

Not sure if that was a good explanation lol, let me know if you want a badly drawn diagram in paint.

Yep thats right. I did my own measurements and contacted them, but it turns out they've done filters for the FT02 before, so they had exact measurements of their own. I went with that, paypal'd them some money and got the filter about... I think 2 weeks later.

And yes, I really need to ):
I think I'm going to wait until I get a new PSU first though. A fully modular 1 to 1 pin layout one (like the EVGA 750W gold)
Makes it easier and nicer to sleeve.

Build looking sweet Panda!

I ordered my tube res and pump ( went for the Aquacomputer Aqualis D5 combo)

BUMP!

Thanks Baron! Got some pics of your stuff? biggrin.gif

And I finally just ordered my new GPU, a MSI 7970 3GB OC Edition. Cost me $410 shipped, before $10 rebate.

Gotta decide what block to get for it now. Debating between the nickel/acrylic EK CSQ blocks (to stay consistent with the CPU block) or a Heatkiller block.

The Heatkiller block looks bad ass on its own but I'm wondering if it'll look out of place next to the EK Supremacy and my pastel green coolant.

The EK CSQ VGA fullcover is not bad, but the circles kind of bug me when there are SO MANY on such a large surface. Also bothers me that I need to spend another $20 or so on a EK-FC single bridge in order to have a port on the backside of the block. Where as the Heatkiller has this functionality built in.

Havent had any time to do the case mods I was thinking about thanks to classes + work, sigh.

You might also want to consider the Swiftech Konodo... It's a complete full-cover for the 79xx series... I personally like it more than the other water blocks on the market today because of the fact that it completely covers the PCB on both sides and doesn't leave any component exposed... The only thing you have to make sure is that your card is built on a reference PCB and not a custom... smile.gif

Yea I saw some recommendations for that block from searching around these forums, but I'm just not liking how it looks.

The red LED would be out of place in my build and it just overall looks kind of plain. Will read more reviews on it though.

And it seems like you're right about cutting off that lip on the bottom of the HDD rack. Should fit, but I would still rather not modify my case like that >.<<br />

Anyway, updated my second post with some more progress.
Build should be complete next weekend!

Your build is amazing biggrin.gif
I am in the same boat as you guys as well.
Do you think a 180x2 radiator will fit on the bottom without modifying the case?
I have absolutely no means to modify the case...

Thank you!

If you want, you could buy one of those little $10-20 sheet metal cutters, they're called nibblers i believe. And then use that to cut out the small chunk in the side like I did. Its the only mod I had to do for triple 180mm.

But if you want to stick with dual 180mm, then yea I'm pretty sure it'll fit just fine. Depending on your GPU's size, you might not even have to remove the filtration system (Just let the dual 180mm sit on top of the fans). If your GPU is long though, you would have to remove the stock filters like I did.

The paint of the case seems to get chipped quite easily
I have no experience in cutting metal so I worry I may damage the paint job.
I guess I may try later on when I finally build the system.
Thanks for your suggestion biggrin.gif
