Look into SSH. Once set up on your SSH server, you'll be able to connect to it from your main machine and run a shell off of the server. So your using the server (w/ no kb or mouse) and you can run anything that you specify a certain user can run. DO NOT use Telnet, SSH is more secure. Also be very carefully on how you set the permissions if the server is open to others.

I've tried both Ubuntu and Gentoo LiveCDs and they both detect and do dhcp... it all depends on the hardware. if it's a broadcom chip (wireless G) then it won't work out of the box... i doubt even knoppix can, because you need to manually download the (correct) broadcom drivers then install ndiswrapper and load the driver into ndiswrapper and load the ndiswrapper module, then a quick change to your config and it works....

really it's not that hard, just rtfm

I hate my new keyboard due to the fact that I am unable to change OS's without using my old ps2 keyboard. I have grub selecting between XP vista and ubuntu and the usb merc that I just bought does not let me do this. I guess I might take apart my keyboard and try to cut it down to size.

As briefly said Never use the Inbuilt Windows Telnet service for such things...Its way to insecure and is simply a back door for you to gethacked and get a Virus. Use SSH as said. Nice work.
