[Build Log] Project Renewal

Greetings, OCN!

I've enjoyed lurking here and drooling over all the amazing builds I've seen, but now It's my turn to (hopefully) inspire someone else to make something of their own. The primary reason I'm making this build is to celebrate my quitting smoking! Yes! After 12 years, I'm finally putting out the cigarette for good. smile.gif This build is going to be moderately slow-paced and won't be exotic, however. What I'm looking to do isn't unique or jaw-dropping either. What this build will be, is a transformation and a reminder of the money, lungs, nicotine stains and years of my life with my family I'll be saving by changing my ways and kicking the habit. Now! On to the build log!

Color Key: Purchased, Need to purchase, To Be Decided

Current Build:

Case: Thermaltake Element V Black Edition
Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Pro B3 Revision
CPU: Intel i7 2600K @ 5 GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB @1600 MHz
Graphics: 2x EVGA GTX 580 Classified Ultra SLI
Drives: Intel 40 GB/80 GB, OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB, WD Caviar Black 2 TB
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050 watt
Case Cooling: Stock fans (5)

Project Build:

Case: NZXT Switch 810 White
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
CPU: Intel i7 3770K
CPU Cooler: Swiftech?
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB @ 2133 MHz
Graphics: 2x EVGA GTX 680 Classified SLI w/ Liquid Cooling
Drives: Intel 40 GB/80 GB, OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB x3, WD Caviar Black 2 TB x2
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050 watt
Case Cooling: Liquid Cooling system, 3 NZXT fans, Phanteks 140mm white x4

The Theme: White with black/silver accents, hold the yellow nicotine stains please. White lighting with cold cathodes. Eventually complete individually sleeved and "tioght like a tigah" wiring throughout.

The Budget: I'll have anywhere from $50 to $100 set aside every week (bills and wife permitting) to finish any touches or parts.

The Pictures: ...are probably going to suck. I have a good camera to take them with, but damnit Jim! I'm a gaming nerd! Not a photographer!

All pictures should be high resolution, so click if you'd like to see the bacteria floating around on my fingers etc.

Current build pics:

Gross nicotine stains on the (once) clear fan located on the side of my case.

Horrible wiring and dust accumulation!

Ashes all over my keyboard. =\

The RAM is soooo pretty! biggrin.gif

Placing the motherboard and the RAM

This RAM is just SO SEXY!

Fan Placement (Apologies for the bad lighting)

Peekaboo Fan

I believe I'm in for it with this wiring job. I'm undecided if I should go with a fan controller system or use this:
