Quick Question About Round 140mm Fans Air Flow

So I just installed an Akasa 140mm Viper to my 650D and I had to mount it on the outside of my exhaust mounts instead of inside the case due to space constraints. I wanted to put a 140mm fan on my TT Water2.0 Pro along with my 120mm Silverstone FM121, but it would not fit on the inside even though it mounts to 120mm holes.

Basically my question is, when I put my hand behind the 140mm Akasa it feels like most of the air is moving out from the edges of the fan and none from the center. I have never had a round 140mm fan before, so I don't know if this is normal. I'm used to my FM121s shooting air straight out like most 120mm fans.

I'd like to know if this is normal or not because I am wondering if mounting the 140mm fan to the outside of the case has affected its air flow pattern. Since this is a 140mm fan with 120mm mounting holes, some of the fan is mounted directly to the flat metal backing of the case since it is a 120mm exhaust.

I can provide pictures if you don't quite know what I mean.

Thanks for any info.

Come on guys, I just want to know if this is normal or not!

Should the air flow look like this and not towards the center of the fan?

I have 2 Noctua 140mm fans and they flow air exactly like your pic, so yes it is normal.
I had 2 Xigmatek 140mm fans that had the same flow and i thought they were just crap
fans, but then i got the Noctuas and it's the same flow as the Xigmatek fans.
