I've recently gone SLI and am loving it, however, my RAM doesn't seem to be holding up too well at all.
I have an x79 board and have all 8 slots filled up. My RAM is currently clocked at around 1666mhz.
The right side of the board is always fine, it's always been cooler regardless of if I use a RAM cooler or not.
I did buy a second HyperX cooler for the left hand side of the board after upgrading my cooler to an H100i, but unfortunately the tubing pushes against it. Just how hot should RAM be because after playing BF3 for an hour just now it was too toasty for me to touch for too long. Even right now it's pretty darn warm and all I'm doing is this. The current solution I have is to buy a fan filter for the exhaust grill on the back of my case and simply have my exhaust fan as an intake, hopefully blowing more air across the sticks. Of course I could just lower the clock speed too... Any help offered would be greatly appreciated!
