Anyone heard of this case? jonsbo QT01

Hey,

am doing another build, stumbled upon this case but i'm not familiar with the brand. The brand is Jonsbo:

http://www.jonsbo.com/en/

Appears to be a Chinese brand. They have some interesting looking HTPC cases and then one called QT01, which I think might be good for a silent atx build, but I haven't been able to find any reviews about it.

Here's a few pics:

Kind of looks like a fractal design case in many ways.

It has silencing material on the sides and front panel. I haven't built in a case with noise reduction material before, but after looking at some of the more well known ones, they often get bad points for heat dissipation etc.

If anyone has any info, please let me know if this would be decent for a build. Thanks!

Looks like the offspring from a Define - Nzxt H2 moment of love.

What is the price?
There are two intake, one exhaust fan. Assume filter for intake. Fan quality is a question. Air flow should be adequate to good, guessing, guessing.
SPCR has articles on choosing a silent case. There is this method and using a lot of quiet fans and coolers.
There are cases from different brands using the same internals, different exteriors.
sO appears to me a decent choice (depending on pricing) that will probably require fan replacement (unfamilar brands commonly cheap out on fans, though why I do not know).

64USD once i did currency exchange from rmb.

I have alot of fans lying around, corsair ones etc. Here's some extra info i could find:
Quote:
Model: QT01(Black)
Dimension: 195 mm (W) x 445 mm (H) x 500 mm (D) (with footstand)
Panel Material: ABS / 0.6mm Aluminum
Side Material: 0.6mm SGCC Steel
Structure Material: 0.5mm SGCC Steel
Form Factor: ATX / MATX / UATX / ITX
Power Supply: PSII
Drive Bay: 3 x 5.25" / 4 x 3.5" / 5 x 2.5"
Front I/O Port: USB3.0 x 1/ USB2.0 x 1/ HD AUDIO/ MIC
Expansion Slot: 7
Cooling Fan Space : Front : 2 x 120mm (built-in)
Back : 1 x 120mm (built-in)
NET/Gross Weight: 8KG / 9.1KG
Supported: 320mm display card / 160mm CPU Cooler

Would that be considered thin/flimsy building materials? Not an expert on materials. The rig will be running in hot temps (30c+) in the summer but this is one I would keep at stock or with a very mild overclock. It's most demanding use is going to be for Microsoft Office and web surfing, so won't bother with discrete gfx card either.

Basically just want a good work rig that is quiet. It actually looks most like a 'rip off' of the Coolermaster silenio 550.

8 Kg x 2.2 lb = 17 lb 10.2 oz which should be fine. CM HAF 912 is 17.8 lbs/ 20.6 lbs shipping weight. Weighs enough to be sturdy.
Check against the weight of a repected sound deadening lined case.. do not know what materiel weighs.

Barely wide enough. A case should be at least 200mm wide.

The front fan stuff looks like what I saw with the Nanoxia DS1.

I don't know about that 0.5mm steel structure. You need to do some homework on that.

The german "buget brand" Cooltek sells some of their products, too. under their own brand of course.
http://www.cooltek.de/Silent+PC/artikel/Cooltek+Antiphon+Black.html

The Cooltek guys are the same that run Nanoxia. So your observation is probably spot on @ehume.

It's be brand new, so no reviews avaiable at the moment.
It does seem to be decent though. It's 65€ where the Fractal R4 is 110€ so i wouldn't expect it to be on the same quality level, but for the money it could be an intersting alternative. Especially the Aluminium front is a nice touch for such a cheap case.

I wouldnt worry too much about the steel thickness, the sound dampening material has some weight to it wich makes the whole thing more sturdy.

If this is a reduced-feature version of the DS1, it will be a good case. The DS1 is a good case, and the top vent was just a gimick.
