Laser mouse jitter

Thread Starter
The problem is with my brothers sharkoon fireglider mouse (avago 6010 sensor, with ultra gay TTc buttons). It used to work with no jitter or problems on almost all surfaces.

Yesterday it started to jitter badly on cloth, and somewhat less on hard surface.

The problem occurs on different pc's with different windows versions, so i'm guesing it's some hardware issue. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea what might be the issue, and can it be fixed since warranty is no more.

Tried it, didn't work.

Took it apart, and wiped every part gently with alcohol, didn't work. I'm guessing something went wrong with the light source (laser)...
