Hello Everyone,

I am trying to get some info on clocking this combination some from anyone that has this setup, for cooling I am running COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO (push and pull config). I was wondering if anyone had played with this setup and could pass some information on speeds you have with this setup.

You can View My Rig Here for full specs on everything!

Up the CPU voltage 10-15%, and start raising the multiplier. That's what Tom's Hardware says.

I was looking for people that have this combination to get some ideals from the hands on they have tested, I have seen some good clocks with under-voltage but not with this board, hence the curiosity of asking about the combination of the two.

never the less thanks for your reply thumb.gif

Hey FoRcE72...
I have the same mb and cpu (fatal1ty 990x + FX8350).
1. Update your mb bios(I think I have 1.9)
2. Turn ALL power saving options off in your bios, there are a ton!
3. For my rig, I have the following allowing me to stay stable on air cool at 4.66ghz (NOTE I always overclock from BIOS):

CPU Freq: 233
CPU Freq Multi: x20
HT Ratio: x12

CPU volt: 1.4250
CPU NB Volt: 1.250
NB Volt: 1.1850
HT volt: 1.20

CPU TEMP AFTER ABOUT 2hrs OF GAMING / BENCHMARKING --> 36degrees C. cheers.gif

These settings will allow you to stay stable.. I have only Benchmarked it with 3dmark --> no issues.
I registered on this site just to help you out, many of the people and forums I have read are severely over-volting!!! DO NOT TAKE CPU VOLTAGE >1.5 (that I believe puts you > 150watts causing fry-if-a-cation)
Good Luck I hope I've helped you! thumb.gif
