Yeah. If I had to guess, it probably has to do with how they're planning to port their physics engine. The cloth physics in the promo videos looked amazing (are they using PhysX again?) so I'm guessing it'll be a big resource hog.

Maybe the Wii-U's CPU would be too bogged down running it?

Yeah but dev have played with Xbox and PS3 for 7 years now. With Wii U its like 2006 all over. They cant get much out of that in such a short time.
I say if you buy Wii U or any other Nintendo you are most likely playing Nintendo games mostly.

I both agree and disagree.

I agree that it's WAY to soon for developers to understand what they're doing with the Wii U. If I was running that team though, I would tell them to not give up.

I disagree that buying a Nintendo console means I'm mostly playing Nintendo games. Although probably true for some people, I HATE Mario games... But I suppose I'm an oddity in that I hate decisions Nintendo has made, the hardware Sony has made, and the business practices Microsoft has made. I'm the guy who hates the console wars and hates the consoles!

Nintendo has never played the CPU/GPU war game. Much like Apple has, they've tried to differentiate in other ways that are not so costly and transfer money to the CPU/GPU companies they license tech from. I think the Wii U is kind of cool and works well. I wouldn't get one at the moment given it costs so much (Maybe when it hits 150-200 and has some games like Zelda and Metroid). I think the sad thing about the Wii U is not the mediocre hardware; it's the terrible services. In a lot of ways, despite dominating console sales this generation; their online services and other content are incredibly dated. I don't know if they'll ever catch up in that regard.

Nintendo needs to wake up. The Wii sold so well as it was a cheap toy for kids that incorporated some new ideas to the gaming world. It did it's part, and did it very well, but why buy a Wii when you can get an xbox. Better games, better graphics, and the superior motion system of the Kinect. This isn't '*cry* consoles are bad' post, just what it is.
