a couple things. first, don't waste your money on a top end motherboard. unless you are doing extreme benchmarks, they are useless and dont provide any usable features to the common person. what i would recommend instead is getting a h100i and an ssd. you will see a much bigger speed improvement than buying a better mobo. the extreme4 is a great board so i don't really see why you would waste money on something you probably dont need. if you insist on getting a new mobo i would suggest this one instead. it has all the features of the m5e but at a much lower cost. it has an amazing bios and is incredibly stable and reliable. but you should probably look into better cooling before you get a better mobo since you will not be able to take advantage of the mobo's OC features if your temps are too high

m5e is the best but it's a total waste if you dont have good cooling (an h80i is not sufficient for pushing a 3770k enough to even come close to what that mobo is capable of or designed for). and those are not ssd's, they are hybrids which dont offer even near the performance of an ssd so that should be the second thing you purchase after a better cooler. if you're going to waste money at least waste it on something that will actually be a benefit to you

thanks 1 vote for the m5e then im not pushing the 3770k to the max either
im happy with my hydrid they perform fairly close to the the 840 samsung since they in raid 0, 1 hydrid perform as fast as a 830 i test them already ssd lack of space why use it? when my hydrid perform the same as those, yeah ssd have faster writting and writte. in benchmark etc i know my friend has them i test them i rather have the 1.3TB space one place then using ssd as boot when hydrid perform the same speed .

Btw, forgot to mention the longer you use the hybrid the faster they are, even faster then those Samsung mention above test it already with my old laptop i have a hybrid on it too for awhile now

My local micro center is doing the buy the i5 get the motherboard for 40.00 off deal, but they are not doing it with the i7 right now. I know they call February their "build it yourself month" so probably more deals coming in 2 weeks. They had the i5 for 170.00 last week, but it's 190.00 today. With the crazy coupon mistake fiasco they had, some people were getting the combo of i5 for 145.00 and the board for 40.00 off

The hybrid drive as fast as an ssd, let alone a Samsung 830.....? Maybe in the same sense that a phenom ii 940 is as fast as a 3770k...
