Ivy Bridge 3570k OC 4.2ghz temperature

Thread Starter
heres a list to my build if need be, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/uHRt

theres the cpu-z + cpuid during the 1hr stress test on prime 95 (blend)
temps seem a big to high considering the fans + heatsink
i followed this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1198504/complete-overclocking-guide-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-asrock-edition, CPU Load-Line Calibration 3 to be more specific
any help would be greatly appreciated

Please check my thread underneath yours (:

Disable PLL Overvoltage
Put PLL CPU Voltage to minimum (1.58 for asrock z77 extreme4)

Use VCore Offset. My stable offset was -0.07

that actually looks about right. maybe a little high but not out of the ordinary. what temperature is the room about?

srry for 3rd screenshot should read,
cpu load line calibration level 3
igpu calibtration level 5 auto
dram voltage 1.500V auto
vtt voltage 1.076V auto
pch voltage: 1.059V auto
CPU pll voltage 1.832V auto
vccsa voltage .925V auto

so ur saying to pll cpu from the 1.832V auto to 1.58 and my overvoltage is already disabled

Definitely lower your pll voltage, you don't need it that high for such a minor overclock. You should even be able to turn it off. Definitely try to reapply TIM with a smaller amount (size of pea).

Also, is the power duration to 500 as it said in the guide necessary? it just makes me think that it'll make the chip hotter. I'm a newbie too so not sure but PLL brought down should get you about 5-10 degrees lower. Did for me atleast.

What offset are you running this at?
