[PG] BioShock Infinite System Requirements Released. - Page 5

OT: Frick, no offense but you are using a 32bit OS with 8gb ram, you do realize that you will only be able to use about 3.2gb of the 8gb you have?
You say that there is no option for SP2 anymore, which is false. What you have is probably a bricked Windows, and you should reinstall so you can get all the new updates in or upgrade to win7/8 (get 64bit if you do).
A reinstall will probably fix all your problems getting the newest SP smile.gif
You may know candy, but fixing windows is not what you where born to tongue.gif
Edit: Another thing you must see, is that the Vista SP1 user base is so small that I can understand why they don't use time to make anything for it!

On topic: Can't wait to see this game, and with those specs as recommended I bet it will look pretty nice too smile.gif

IF it says that then it's most definitely a Steam game, retail copies will activate on Steam, etc. IIRC, you can't use Steamcloud without making your game 100% Steam only. I could be wrong, though.
I believe it's possible to, but extremely rarely done. Like I think Dark Souls for example the retail box did not require steam, but all the digital versions (any distribution system) did.

Most developers don't bother making two or more versions though, so I'd imagine this is going to be Steamworks only.

Nice! They're including FOV adjustments, too!

Time to find a place to pre-order this with a discount (I'm looking at you Greenman). More companies need to treat the PC market like this.

My post might have been unclear. I meant installing any other OS/SP2 isn't an option for me personally, due to various hardware issues.
As for the ram, may I introduce you to the Vista RAM Kernal hack? Full ram usage baby! biggrin.gif

I wonder what this game will look like on the bare minimum?

Also, why am I doubting that it has anything to do with hardware issues and more to with a "questionable" copy of vista? Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but I'm with everyone else: no reason you should be using sp1. That article you quoted was from 2009.

I dont care either way though. Do what you gotta do.

That hack has been out since windows 2000 pro. It still only utilizes 4gb at any point and time, it however allows you to populate all 8gb at the same time. Big difference.

I'm pre-ordering this game if they live up to their words. So far, the PC version seems to be of its own and not a shoddy port or quick 1-2-3 "we made a PC version, be happy". I was reading the AMA on Reddit from the dev(s) a week or so ago and the main thing that got me excited was there's zero DRM.

It's so cute seeing people think that Steam isn't a form of DRM. tongue.gif
