Honestly i would wait if i were yall..700 series is coming soon i believe and around the same roadmap ad 600 series. I disagree with buying a 600 series card untill 700s drops so people dont be like f i should of waited and they trying to sell the 600 series card they just bought to get the 700
post #133 of 203
Nobody knows when the 7 series will drop. Anybody can take a guess but waiting is always an option, not the best imho though.

Its best for now like said before you can buy a 600 series now but i bet when the 700 cards drop you will be finding a way to step up or selling the 600 to 700 and thats waste due to paying for shiping etc

The next best thing is always 6 months away. If you always wait, you'll never have anything.

You have no idea when 700 will come out, no one does.

Clock for clock is pointless. All that matters is the end result at the maximum for each card.

My 7970 at 1250mhz edged out my 670 at 1325mhz by 500 points in 3dmark11, 2 fps in Heaven and 6 fps in Metro 2033.

A 680 oc'd to 1325mhz would close most of that gap.

Unless you're talking Lightnings, I'd be willing to wager that 1325MHz 680s are less common that 1250MHz 7970s. HWBot data shows that they overclock roughly the same.
