Impossible to get rid of NEG MOUSE ACCEL.

I have negative mouse acceleration. Basically, when I swipe my mouse across it doesn't go as far as it would when I slowly move my mouse across the mousepad. I changed my mouse from MX518 to G400 and that didn't fix it. I changed from a 60hz LED to BenQ XL2420T 120hz LED and that didn't fix it. Now let me tell you my settings (for CSGO):

MarkC for Windows 7 64b Ultimate (100% 1-1 6/11)
m_rawinput "1"
m_mousespeed "0"
m_mouseaccel1 "0"
m_mouseaccel2 "0"
m_customaccel_scale "0"

Acceleration disabled in game(s)
Raw Input ON in game(s)
Windows sensitivity 6/11
Pointer precision off
No mouse drivers installed
VSync is forced off in video card and in game(s)
QCK+ on frosted glasstop desk

Have tried different resolutions. Currently on native resolution (1920x1080). Cap'd FPS at 120. I recently put together this rig so my FPS is good. I have XFX AMD HD 7870 2GB video card and i5 2500k (@4.2Ghz).

I have this issue in all games, not just CSGO.

I have been trying to figure out a solution to this for quiet some time now. Just performed a re-installation of Windows 7 and I still have mouse acceleration. This is really frustrating!

Any tech gurus out there?

My thread is not geared towards specific games although it may seem like it. Please don't hijack this thread. I played css for years without acceleration on XP with CPL Mouse Fix and the same mouse + mousepad. I have this acceleration on this new rig, new windows and new led. People play csgo without acceleration by simply turning it off ingame and turning raw input on. This is not working for me. In fact, I have acceleration in ALL games. Let's keep the thread on topic and not game specific please.

Already have, please see OP.

You say no mouse drivers installed, why don't you actually install the drivers? I have the logitech software installed for my mouse, SetPoint, and it allows me to turn off acceleration and it works for me.

Have you tried it.

Considering your thread on the steam forums it's time to post more details.
Post EVERYTHING you've already done or tried and settings from GPU drivers, etc.

  • GPU driver settings (ATI or NVIDIA, take screenshots if possible)
  • Driver settings from the mouse and Windows
  • CS GO / CSS autoexec and or config file
  • Launchoptions from the games
  • BIOS settings if need be
  • Minimum framerate
  • Programs running in the background and perhaps an SS of task manager
  • As mentioned on steam forums, DPC latency
  • ... (anything else you can think of)

If a problem is this persistent and still exists after a format, it's time to dig deep.

Also, you "recently" put this build together. Was this build running XP or did you go straight to 7 on it? It might just be the USB controller or something on your motherboard that is just... well ****ed.

Oh and try to turn of Core Parking (was causing a mild mouselag for me for some reason on W7, google it).

Thank you! Unparked all cores using google and that didn't fix it. I've created a thread on cadred which goes more in depth. ATI card (see signature) on default values. Only changed VSync to be "Always Off." No mouse drivers at the moment on G400. Pointer precision is off and using 6/11 windows sensitivity. I've tried default csgo config and also my own. I have these commands in my autoexec:
Quote:
m_rawinput "1"
m_mousespeed "0"
m_mouseaccel1 "0"
m_mouseaccel2 "0"
m_customaccel_scale "0"
Just re-installed windows so there aren't many programs running in the backround. I actually installed my graphics driver and csgo immediately after reinstalling windows and still had acceleration.

What is DPC latency?

EDIT: DPC latency is good.

Setpoint allows you turn off acceleration, have you tried this since you have a logitech mouse?
