Looking for some feedback and or a work around, any feedback is appreciated........

Well you can disable and enable java only when you NEED it. I know they recently patched up java security i am certain you are ok. I suggest reading more Sopho news to be sure it's secure to use Java now. I don't even USE it at all cuz i got firefox.

Same, I mean I have it installed but I use Firefox as well, cannot go wrong with firefox. IE has been completely crap for years especially when it comes to Java not loading and such. Upgrade to Firefox, don't ever look back xD

I guess Chrome can be considered as well, although I have no real experience with it.

Wife's instructor said IE. I can try loading her page in Chrome or FF, see if it loads?

I honestly don't know why it would matter, she might want to ask if she has to use IE specifically or she can use others. FireFox does everything IE does but better with more features.

Yes, try one of the others to see if page loads, it would be odd if it didn't. Then we can go from there.

Ended up installing FireFox, and Java (Sad Face). Ive got her just using FF with the Java page(site for school), and nothing else. Using Chrome(Java player disabled) for everything else. I dont use IE(but Java player is disabled), I hate IE.........

My question here?

Any site could be potentially harmless, just make sure you had adblocker installed for firefox/chrome and you will be good to go. Don't click on anything unless you know what it is. Common sense is the best defense against Worms and Maleware. thumb.gif
