I know it is too late already but I don't think any one mentioned that if you would go with the 1155 i5, you could have upgraded eventually to i7, giving you some "upgradability". At the rate that AMD is going I think 3770k/ 2700k will be a good competitor for 2+ years. maybe not "beat" but give some competition

1155 is EOL after ivy bridge I believe.
For most people,it'd be best to go with am3+ because of next gen processors.

I bet it's gonna be a substantial improvement from bd/PD. Everything I've read so far points at it.
