metacritic is not a place to discover user reviews and it is known for always having hate. whether the ones you quoted or not are accurate or true, there are just as much haters who haven't tried it and just claim "paid reviews" as there are people who are loving it. I wish they wouldn't of called it devil may cry myself and made a new ip, but it's worth trying. You can get it for $37 right now on green mang gaming.

if all else fails there is Metal Gear Rising Revengance if you have a 360 or ps3.

there will always be a group of people who blindly love and defend mediocre games. nothing new there.

As I said, the only reason Metacritic was worth a visit on that game was due to the reviews highlighting actual failing points in the game that exist. Otherwise, you're right it wouldn't be worth the bother.

As for buying it for $37? It's only 6 hours long. At that length and with its gameplay mechanics, it's a christmas $9.99 for me at least.

Hopefully Metal Gear Rising can bring more to the table, although from what I've seen it also seems to be plagued with quicktime events albeit you seem to actually participate at least.

IMO they've ruined the game, it's nothing like how DMC should be. Compare this game to the 1st/2nd/3rd and it doesn't really feel like a DMC game, too much has changed. Doubt I'll play this.

I'm waiting on reviews and probably a price drop. I loved the old DMC games, but have kinda gotten out of that entire genre now, so it's not high up on my list.

DMC2 was quite bad though in comparison to 1 and 3. Especially 1.

This is true. Additionally, so little love for DMC4? Nero's parts sucked but the Dante segments are quite good gameplay-wise.

guy who wrote it doesn't know what he is doing when it comes to refresh rates, but at least it's a perspective.
