Feel free to give it a whirl and let us know what you think.

It looks like a benchmarking program to see how much you can fold in terms of protein folding time. There are some requirements to get this to run on your system:
Quote:
Requirements
OpenCL/CUDA:
Windows (tested on Win7, untested on others)
Latest NVIDIA/ATI Drivers (Exclusive-Or)
CUDA:
CUDA 5.0 (required for testing the CUDA platform)
Visual Studio C++ Express 2008
-Download vcsetup.exe.
-Make sure “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\bin” is in your PATH env variable

Feel free to try this out and post your results. proteneer seems to be gathering info on the results from the hardware used. On one of the later pages he was asking for some 580 results.

Please read through the thread as there are quite a few posts on how to get it to display results, mainly dealing with the requirements.

Edit: There was also a hint at improving efficiency of OpenMM.
Quote:
the numbers are going to vary in the upcoming months, as we begin to heavily optimize OpenMM.

Edit2: Here is another thread with top scores. Fastest thing up there is a 570 SC.

The things you miss when you don't check the forums often instead of just your subscription. Nice find.

This thread does have the results all listed in order by ns/day.
http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=23440

proteneer hinted at what the AMD cards might be able to do...top 2 scores for OpenCL

OpenCL SP Explicit:
25.3514 ns/day k1wi v0.3 Nvidia GTX570 @ 1020MHz (2056 memory) http://i49.tinypic.com/35b5xef.png
23.4681 ns/day SolidSteel144 v0.3 Radeon HD 7970 1050/1500 MHz Catalyst 13.1 w/ latest OpenCL runtime.

OpenCL SP Implicit:
114.165 ns/day k1wi v0.3 Nvidia GTX570 @ 1020MHz (2056 memory) http://i49.tinypic.com/35b5xef.png
105.033 ns/day SolidSteel144 v0.3 Radeon HD 7970 1050/1500 MHz Catalyst 13.1 w/ latest OpenCL runtime.

I don't see any 680 results in there to see how they stack up but these results show AMD to be much more competitive than current PPD numbers.

If there are any artistic folders out there that feel like having a piece of their own artwork in a real Stanford application (FAHBench GUI version), proteneer is accepting images to use in the FAHBench GUI. Something like 200x200 that can be shrunk down to a small .ico file. It can't use any copyright material of course and should use a FAH logo. Here are some examples:

http://www.charleshollands.com/share/FAHBench/

[18:06] <@proteneer> well, a 200x200 i can resize down to a 16x16 can't i?
[18:06] <@proteneer> something for the desktop logo i guess
[18:06] <@proteneer> a .ico file
[18:06] <@proteneer> like we have for F@H client
[18:06] <@proteneer> woulld suffice
