Zalman Z11: My water cooling plan

Thread Starter
Hi, i know this case is not the best for water cooling but its my precious and i love him very much. Anyway i plan to water cool my system with either a cpu or cpu and gpu im undecided yet, i also plan to tidy everything up so it looks a lot more appealing and perhaps mod the top of the case in order to fit a rad up there. This is my first water cooling adventure so please correct me and help me if anything is wrong. I also have a new graphics card coming.

so here are my plans so far:

Plan 001

This plan includes both the GPU and CPU being cooled, i plan to use a pump res combo and modding the top of the case to provide room for a 240mm rad (slim) along with a 120mm rad at the back. will this provide good cooling?

Plan 002

This one include one more 120mm rad.

Plan 003

Different cycle going to the CPU first.

Plan 004

Just with the CPU cooled.

It is possible to water cool this case, you just need to think about it. i have water cooled my z11 and i have 2 dual 120mm rads, and i have watercooled bith of my gpus and my cpu.

Hi,

That's just my 2cents, but you should always have your pump/res, at the lowest point of your loop. In your Case, that would means next to the power supply.

So ull have this loop:

Pump=>Rad=>Cpu=>Res

I'd suggest you to read this great guide here:
http://www.overclockerstech.com/water-cooling-guide-for-beginners/

Also, Have you considered buying a watercooling kit instead? (Here is a Vid with the famous H100 Corsair kit) (See the dedicated thread forum here)
-It's much much more cheaper
-Easy to install
-No risk damaging your system

If you plan evolving in the near future, with that case with a watercooled Sli GPU config, then starting making your own loop migh be the way to go.

Hope I've helped and good luck!

ps: Sorry for my english, im just french
