Corsair Dominator Platinum Quad channel?

Thread Starter
Does this ram come in quad channel kits? and more over does it matter if it doesn't? Im looking for some fast 4x4gb 1600mhz or faster dominator platinum ram to stick in my asus rampage IV extreme, but the dual and quad channel memory is confusing me..... I wont be overclocking my ram, my machine is mainly a gaming rig, I want the dominator platinum mainly for aesthetics lol.
So if i buy a 4 stick set that's only duel channel will I lose noticeable performance? Also, alot of the platinum memory is listed in the QVL, buts its been a while since its been updated, should I worry about this ? thanks smile.gif

Yes it comes in Quad channel and i know you said you wanted the looks but the Corsair Platinum are some of the most expense RAM you can find

You can buy something just as good cheaper but if you are set on the Corsair Platinum go ahead

Yep, comes in most flavours. 4 sticks = quad channel regardless of if it says dual channel or not as far as I know.

Linky and linky, although it is very expensive.

I have
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233197
and It runs fast and as smooth as butter, even at higher frequencies loading programs will be limited by your HD

That ram was mostly designed by over-clockers because of there high bus speed and superior cooling (you can bring the CPU clock up to match the frequency)

really ram is just ram, its one of the lower end computer restrictions, I have never used over 4gb on anything, i just got the 16 because it was on sale

Yah, the ram I got just now is actually pretty decent and is on the QVL list :- http://www.corsair.com/us/memory-by-product-family/vengeance/vengeance-16gb-quad-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz16gx3m4x1600c9.html

Its pretty pricey for basically an aesthetics upgrade, but I'm soo tempted :x hehe biggrin.gif

id get this:- http://www.waeplus.co.uk/product/2229002/CORSAIR-4-X-4-GB-DDR3-1866-PC3-15000-CL9

thanks a lot for ur reply guys! + rep~
