I just sold my cross fire 6970s and got a 680, haven't looked back...

I just ordered two of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130797) and this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131858) off newegg. Will mount a 240 rad outside and get some cooling blocks for the GPUs later. thumb.gifbiggrin.gif

oh whaaaatttttttt!!!! thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

congrats, i have one of those exact cards! be sure to try to put them with at lease one slot gap between them, so the top card has plenty of room to breathe... its going to be so much quieter than all your 6970s!

you can get about $600 for all your 6970s wink.gif

Yep! I'm listing the 6970s, motherboard, and 2600K on ebay. Hopefully, I should be able to get some money back on them and be able to pick up a 3rd GTX 680 from newegg and a 3770K from microcenter.

Freaking awesome! Now go make far cry 3 beg for mercy! Also, be sure to let be know what you think of sli 680s vs quad fire 6970s, the difference should be night and day!

This is my first SLI setup since my 9500GTXs. So far I've been impressed. Waiting on that 3rd card. thumb.gif

Yes they did! The highest 3D Mark 11 performance score I ever got for the 6970s was 14857. With the 680s, I got 17087 on the first test with only the CPU overclocked.
Will have some more time to test this setup this weekend also.
Oh, and one more thing, they're impressively quiet. thumb.gifbiggrin.gif

His post is about watercooling, NOT about his graphics card. Please stay relevant.
