Yes. It would be a bit messy with the wires otherwise.

The good thing about this card is that the VRMS do have a very nice looking heat sink but only 4 of the eight ram ICs will have a heat sink if you take the stock heat sink off because the stock heat sink also cools 4 of the 8 memory IC's.

I'm going to water cool my 7870 XT with a MCW80 but I am not sure what I am going use to cool the memory. I have a few ideas. Nothing certain yet.

Got the card yesterday and the PCB alone measures just a hair over 10.5 inches in length.

Copper heatsinks and a medium speed fan 2 inches from the pcb would do the trick nicely

Nice so 1250Mhz is stable on your 7870 XT. With a healthy overclock this card is definitely the better option over 660 TI.

Yeah just got mine a week ago getting ready for Bioshock, I haven't maxxed out the OC yet, but I currently love it. Got the core clock up but everytime I touch the memory clock it crashes under load. And I know to revert the core back to stock when OC'ing memory but still funks up. Anyone else having a similar problem?
Also dope card vs my buddy's 660, he's embarassed he payed as much as my 7870xt for it.

Let's say there's a 20 USD between a custom cooled 7870XT and a reference 7950 non-boost, which would you guys choose to buy and prolly CFX? biggrin.gif

Probably still the XT, reference design is so damn loud and barely allows OC.. :/
