The only way to clean the stock 6990 cooler is to remove the whole thing (sozo.gif), so I figured I may as well change the thermal pads on the card while I replace the thermal paste on the GPUs (I may have to anyway if they break apart).

I am wondering if anybody knows the ideal pad thickness for the PLX chip, vrms and memory chips?

I was looking at these pads from Koolance. Will they be sufficient (assuming I grab the right size)?

Thanks in advance
