Well i use a 50/50 mix of anti freeze water, and I just keep the reservoir full with the pump running the entire time. It takes like 2 seconds to figure out your pour flow to not overfill the reservoir.

You guys are doing it the most difficult way. Your pumps isn't going to burn to dust for a 2 second air bubble. If it does you pump is cheap as **** .

seriously dude? you're trying to turn this into a popularity contest? you obviously have a problem with idolism, and the fact of people not respecting your gods and goddesses. too bad you're in the present because you'd probably be better suited for ancient greece.

i've read that you don't want to use anti-freeze as that actually doesn't transfer heat like distilled water/coolant.

You've read correctly. But I dont know, maybe konspiracy has dissimilar metals in his loop. Or maybe he is keeping his rads sub zero.

well i kinda disagree, even though i havent read anything and im not being arrogant right now, im just basing it off of how cars work, but those also operate at extreme temperatures, and coolant like feser one has .005 percent EG

again i have no real proof, as computers operate at lower temps than that, which does make sense come to think of it, is it possible you could post a link for that info thumb.gif

I have read quite a few articles/reviews etc over the years that do show the best liquid for thermal conductivity is distilled water. This article is one of the most comprehensive I have read, along with the part 2 that is linked to at the bottom.

Like so many things in life, it is a matter of degree (no pun intended). Some additives are advisable to ward off algae, corrosion etc.

All things in moderation, and the actual mix is dependent on the set up.
