The i7-3820 is sort of meh, I wouldn't get it. No reason to pay that much for a quad core with HT. Get an i7-3770k if you need HT. I originally had an i5-3570k in there. But swapped it out for the i7-3930k, because it fit, and it should last a little longer. Dual 7950s will give you maximum performance on this budget., It should last your atleast 3-5 years. 7950s are only a little slower than a single 7970, about 5%. So two of them give you amazing bang for your buck.

You should save money on the 2011 mobo and 3930k and go 1155 and get 7970's instead with the money you save. Or keep the 2011 setup, get one 7970 and then get another one when you have more money. if you are going to go high end 2011 then it doesn't make sense to me to go with a 7950.

Especially if gaming is your focus you shouldn't get the best cpu and then the second best gpu. I would scale down the cpu and get the best gpu.

I think I am going to save some money and buy me the dual GPU on a single card and this is it: PowerColor AX7990 6GBD5-2DHJ Radeon HD 7990 6GB 384-bit x2 GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card which will cost 899.99 and it plays every game on max settings with a whole lot of room to spare!

Two 7970s should be better and cheaper.
