I choose the QX6700, just for the bragging rights......Joking.
And that E6700 should get to 3.5/4 ghz on water, so it will no be much of a bottleneck to the gpu.
Not that I have much credibility to give advice on setups, being new and all, but in my opinion the E6700 is a waste of money in this case if the decision to only purchase one 8800 is made.

Some testing here indicates that single card setups stop scaling at relatively low CPU speeds, so the E6700's headroom isn't really necessary unless you want to focus on CPU clocking. As far as bottlenecking a G80 is concerned, the E6600 seems sufficient.

A Tagan 1000w+ PSU isnt really neccesary. I just said that as i couldnt think of any other good high-power PSU's at the time

Buying the very best parts is very nice, and gives your awesome bragging rights, but buying the 2nd best is generally the best option, as you can save such a huge amount of money.

This can be used for future upgrades, which is always good
