[TPU] Corsair Introduces the Hydro Series H110 and H90 Liquid CPU Coolers - Page 14

At this point, I'm anti-Corsair HXXXi. It just seems like EVERYONE has one of these closed loop coolers in their PC. It has kind of taken away the "personal" part of computing with unique builds. I love Corsair and really think they're kickin' ass in the case and RAM department and understand that these coolers are great bangs for the buck but... for the sake of vanity in individuality, please use a nice air cooler or try something different and take up the challenge of a custom water cooling loop.

Well, they can't exactly make it harder for people to use these things; people would just go with a custom loop, if these were just as difficult to use.

George, do you mean quieter overall, fans and pumps combined?

Asking because if only comparing the auditory output of the pumps alone, the H100i could not be louder that 8db. It's quieter than a reference 10db fan at 30 inches.

So you are meaning quieter overall? Thanks again smile.gif

Wonder if Corsair Labs has tested the decibel level of the H100i pump vs the H110 pump. That would be interesting, the newer CoolIT pump design is so quiet hard to believe the H110 pump alone being an older design would be even quieter, but anything is possible...

Only bringing this up since to many the rated fan noise is irrelevant, for those users whom already favor a certain type/brand of fan over the stock parts included.

George, I have a Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra full tower gaming case. I currently have a H100 cooler mounted at the top of the case. Will the H110 fit in my case? The case is very large, but that doesn't mean much. I really prefer NOT to mod my case to fit it.

Corsair should start selling these in two optional boxes;

*without the fans for enthusiast for a slightly lower price
*with fans for beginners/intermediate for their regular price

i dont think the price difference would be that significant tbh.

im just waiting to see how all this goes. i now regret buying a small case to save space because now there is limited space for an AIO cooler and i am interested in an AIO especially since much quieter options are coming around.

There's a reason our units are sealed and non-expandable. Any opening that can be user-accessed adds significant evaporation to the unit. If Gabe found a way around that, great, more power to him.

But in every test we've done with similar tubing and fill ports, we get a significant drop in lifespan due to evaporation.

Well saying thing about the Swiftech without knowing what it does gives you that reaction you got George, and you have to admit you guys are getting ownd hard with the Swiftech unit, Its about the same price, a much stronger pump, full coper, pre installed/fans/unit. And for the Hardcore users under us it can be expanded to even 2 gpu's with 2 extra rads. And maintain its cooling! And there is a fan controll unit on it, so no more bugged software you guys have with the h100i!

I had to RMA my old h80, 4 times! Well i do like your customer support its super, but id rather have something that works! Swiftech is going to win this round big time vs your products, the thing you have as an advange is the strong name under the "noob" people that buy the product without even knowing what else is out.

Still good job on the psu and cases but on these units you guys lost bigtime.

The fans are probably not costing much; the ones on the H100i were pretty bad.

they've done this with the H70 core. I wish they could've done it with the other flavors too, fans that came with my h80i were so loud
