Hey guys,

I've installed new waterblock on my gtx 670 (gtx 680 pcb).It is amazing but i have questions about the mounting.According to manual pads will be installed on memory vrm shown below

1-) The yellow area must be cooled i think cause the block has a cooling area for that two suckers.anyway i put 0.5 mm thermal pad onto it but after removing the waterblock i see there's no contact with block. should i put 1 mm pad instead ?

2-) According to manual i have to put 1.5 mm on gpu vrm . But the manual came with the unit (31 march 2012 release) says 0.5 mm on vrms. New release manual says referance pcb with 1.5 mm except gainward and palit pcb.Which one should i put on vrms?

gainward pcb

gigabyte pcb

3-) I have mounted the block and tightened screws crazy but after removing the block i see there's bare contact with the gpu as shown below

what's wrong with this block? it's new

I am thinking about getting this block for this card. Does anyone else have insight about this? Did you get an answer elsewhere?

yeah . block don't have any issues but my card gpu was a little bit lower than the pcb so this problem occured. you'll probably have no problems with your own card
