And i'd like to report the complete opposite lol.
BF3 runs like a true champion with this driver managing a average FPS well over 100 in Metro with a 7970 and running Ultra w/o Motion Blur and with 2x Adaptive MSAA. I hardly saw it drop under 100FPS in any situation when I played 3 rounds of Metro.
This is a proper increase in speed over 12.10 and a little bit better then 12.11B8 which had the tendency to drop FPS badly (to like 40) when using Adaptive AA in a area with lots of smoke.
FC3 also runs like a boss with MUCH higher FPS then it did before. I was only able to run all maxed without any form of AA to get a stable enough FPS with the 12.11's but with this driver I can run with 2x Adaptive AA fine with the same FPS I had with 12.11 without AA.. Still the stuttering is noticable from time to time especially when around 40-48 FPS but not very badly.
All these tests we're performed with a Sapphire HD7970 Reference card with a Accelero 7970 on it.
Clockspeeds we're 1260Mhz for the core and 1575Mhz for the VRAM.
CPU was a i7 2600K clocked at 4.8Ghz with 8GB of G.Skill RipjawsX at 2133Mhz CL9-11-10-28-1T
Games we're all ran from a high-end SSD on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (tweaked for performance and themes)
Short version, I love these drivers as much as I loved the 12.11's. Updates and performance gains are pretty substantial and I can't see the GTX680 having a chance against the 7970 in whatever aspect anymore.. The 7970 is so much cheaper that the points in which the 680 does slightly edge it out the enormous pricetag doesn't justify it. Same goes for the 7950 vs GTX670 / GTX660 TI.
